Paypal won't let me pay for ebay item

Hi, I looked at other messages like this but don't see an answer.  I'm bummed about this because it's been hours I've tried to pay this seller for something I bought on ebay and all I get, after going through the whole paying process again and again is, 'Sorry, error, please try back later.'

It tells me to try to find the answer in the FAQs, ha! Not my question.

I've tried paying through the invoice that came into my mailbox and I tried paying for it through ebay.  I wrote to the seller to let them know I am trying to pay them. This is really aggravating.  It happened before too and finally, after many tries it went through.  But I don't have time for this. What is happening?

And why is it so impossible to get any help?  Unless it's some common easy problem Paypal has dealt with a millions times before it's like solving a mystery to find out how and where to get answers.  I would have thought Ebay and Paypal would want paying money to be the easiest thing to do.

I don't even know if I'll get help now.

Can you tell I'm peeved?

Sorry, but I just want to pay for something, that's all.

I have money in my Paypal account.  There are no problems or restrictions on it.  I purchase stuff all the time on ebay. What's up?

Hopefully someone can help.

Thank you.

Hi there Leigh123,

Can I ask if you are receving this message before or after you login to PayPal when trying to pay for this item? It could be possible that there is an issue with the eBay checkout when you are trying to pay for this particular item.

Is it also only this one item that you are unable to pay for? I am unable to see your account so I can't give you any definate answers as to what it could be. My best advice for you would be to click the Contact Us link on your PayPal account. From here, you can then click the Call Us or Email Us option in order to get in contact with customer services.

I hope this information helps,

David.

Hi David,

Thanks for trying to help.  I did contact paypal and they said  my account is fine and to send the money thru my PP account.  The usual way doesn't work.  Well, I talked to the seller just before that and we scrapped the deal, altho it's still in my account wanting me to pay.

Meanwhile I bought something else on ebay and that went thru fine.

Then yesterday I bought another item and again it wouldn't go though so I contacted PP and again they said to pay the seller though PP by sending money.

I noticed the thing these two sellers have in common is using auctiva. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it tho.

So I wrote to this last seller and am waiting to hear from them to get the confirmed email address to send their money to.  I don't like doing it this way and it's time consuming.

Any more ideas?

Thank you

Leigh

This is my first time to buy something on ebay.  I have used paypal before to pay for something from internet, but not ebay.  I made a transaction on "buy now" from ebay.  It said I could pay through paypal, so I opened my paypal account but nothing was there.  How do I get the ebay purchase information to my paypal account?

I'm having the same problems with eBay and PayPal. I am receiving the same error message as you are. Surprisingly no one knows why I called Pay Pal and I called eBay and everything looks fine they say OK so that's not true because I still can't pay for an item that's a huge problem !
