I have been trying to withdraw my money from paypal account to my bank account for a bout a week now. If I use the app I get a message saying 'withdraw failed', I don't even get an error message from the actual proper paypal site, it just won't let me do it. Smiley Mad

I phoned paypal and spoken to someone but they say there is nothing wrong with the account, then they said the wrong name was on the account (I recently changed my name), even though I I changed all of my details back in Feb and have used the account several times with no issues, until now.

T he lady I spoke to updated my card details (again) and I have since logged on and confirmed my account etc and STILL NOT LETTING ME WITHDRAW. I t may not be a lot of money, but its mine and I want it and need it, NOW !!! I am sooooooooooo angry.

Hi,

I take it you get to the page where you enter the amount and select bank, on clicking Continue it seems to do nothing and stays at that page.

If this is the issue you are having it is a Security Feature PayPal are attempting to implement and have been attempting to implement since the beginning of February.

Have you added a new phone number? banks? credit card? recently.

I have noticed on a number of client accounts that PayPal recently made some changes, you now get asked to confirm you identity to make a withdrawal.

They will want to confirm your identity by

1) Sending a text message with a code

2) Calling you with a code

3) Confirming your Credit Card number

4) Confirming your Security Questions

5) Confirming your Bank Account number

Therefore changing or adding new details for the above "flags" your account, once you have made a change it will no longer use that method to confirm your identity and it may move on to another method, if it doesnt your f***ed.

Even if you do manage to confirm your identity, you will still have to wait 72hours or more for PayPal to do additional security checks (PayPal to English translation: security check = 4% interest in PayPal's bank)

My advice, Give up, donate your money to charity, buy some porn, buy a hosting package create a file called index.php with the following code in .....

<?php echo "PayPal **bleep**"; ?>

or any other unuseful thing you can think of.

Hi, I changed ny name back in Feb but have used the account with no issues since then. I have spoken to someone at PayPal for all the use she was, they just seem to go round in circles. I have confirmed my bank account details but am still having no joy. I just want MY money!

good luck, you're gonna need it.

no one here can help, paypal dont really look at these forums and even if they did they wouldnt make it public and admit they have problems.

Maybe you are able to apply for a PayPal Access card seeing as these withdrawal issues all started when they announced they are making it available UK wide. Coincidence maybe?

It has been nearly 2 months now £800 paypal have froze in my account, i have sent the 10 different items to prove i exsist and still no further on,this supposed we will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours just does not happen, they just ignore all messages.

Now ebay want let me sell because i cant link my paypal account, they are demanding i put a credit card on file with them not

everyone actualy has one of them i certainly dont so i cant list nothing now, is this actually legal to hold peoples money like this

must be something we can do this is riddiculas.

where is the freedom of choice why does ebay get away with forcing us too use paypal for security reason not entirely true to make sure they get more money out of us,

what does confuse me is you sell a item on ebay they take all in roughly 10% so say it went for £20 you then have £18 yet paypal charge you on £20 how is this i dont get that they are charging you on something you dont have, as for ebay taking 10% of the postage just another way for us to pay the buyers fee surely for them

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to hear that you have been experiencing difficulties when trying to withdraw funds.

I haven't heard of any issues encountered when trying to withdraw funds. Can I ask if you have all checked your accounts to see if there are any limitations on your accounts?

As we are unable to view or discuss any specific information via the Community, I would advise that you try contacting us directly via Twitter @AskPayPal or via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and we can look into this further for you.

I hope this helps,

David.

David i am surprised you would ask me if my account was limited, normally when you have send copious documents to Paypal eg 10 in total most definitely means it is limited, and after waiting for days for them to finally answer after sending them another 2 documents they turned round and said "we have not received even all though i got the now familiar auto response back from them saying they had"

Low and behold after having another look at the paperwork "oh we must of missed them" not really what i wanted to hear.and 10 seconds later my account was working again just goes too show how easily they could of sorted this, instead of taking over a month and absolutely no interest credited to my account.

Do i like Paypal ? NO i absolutely hate it but no freedom of choice here we are forced to use it, surely this cant be legal to force people to accept monies through this application owned by ebay, which i don't quite understand, Ebay charge you commission on the full sale value and then postage price as well [nothing to do with them whatsoever]

then paypal charge you commission on the full amount including the fees that ebay as already taken off the money, why does paypal not just charge you on the actual monies left after ebay takes there's of, as i am paying commission on that total twice

WHY PLEASE TELL ME
