I have moved to a different country and need to transfer information and funds

Hello,

I opened a PayPal account when I was in the UK and was using it for freelance projects, where I used to get money. Recently I moved to India and I still have money in my PayPal account in British Pounds. I recently received some more money in my PayPal UK account as part of a payment. But how can I transfer my money to bank account in India (since there is no provision as such) and also do I need to open an Indian PayPal account so that I can transfer funds first to the indian Paypal account and then to my Indian bank account?

Hi,

PayPal don't allow you the transfer the funds to Indian PayPal account. You may want to withdraw funds to UK bank account or send personal payment to your friend's in UK.

I would like to send a personal payment to my friend in the UK but Paypal keeps asking me to add a credit card or debit card number...BUt since I have left UK I do not have any bank account in the UK...

How can I make the payment then? when paypal keeps asking me for my UK credit card number? I have left the country so I do not have any active credit cards in the UK...

I just want to transfer my balance amount to my friend's bank account.

Please help cos I need my money...

Hi there,

If you are logging into a UK account from India (or any other country..) our system may need some verification that it is you in fact logging in, hence the need for the full card number being put in. Without it I'm afraid you won't be able to move forward.
