How long does it take for the confirmation code to be received by my bank?

I have just added my bank account onto paypal so i can transfer money onto my card however it's saying I need some kind of confirmation code to complete the process? I'm with Lloyds bank and haven't recieved any code. Any idea how long it takes or where it should show up?

Usually a few hours but what do you mean about transfering money onto your card???
