Hi there 808m8,

If you are unable to login to your PayPal account as you can't remember your password, you may need to try and recover your password by phone in order to be able to log back in to your PayPal account.

If you have forgotten your PayPal password, don’t worry. Just follow these steps to create a new one:

  1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk
  2. Click ‘Problem with login?’ under the ‘Log In' button.
  3. Select ‘I’ve forgotten my password.’
  4. Enter the email address you used to create your PayPal account.
  5. Enter the security code shown, without spaces.
  6. Click ‘Continue.’

Depending on the information on your account, we will either ask you to enter in some details, such as your card number, to confirm your account. Alternatively, we may send an email to your email address. If we send you an email, simply click on the link in the email and create a new password.

If you don't have access to your email account, you can try to confirm your account ownership by phone.

  1. On the 'We've just sent you an email' page, click 'by phone'.
  2. Select a telephone number from your account.
  3. Select 'Call now' or ‘Call in 1 minute’ if you are ready to receive a telephone call. Enter an email address where you can receive further instructions from us.
  4. Click 'Continue' to receive the 4-digit code.
  5. When we call you, enter the 4-digit code into your phone.
  6. Click 'Continue'.
  7. Select a method of account verification, enter your information, and click 'Continue'.
  8. Enter a new password and click 'Submit'. You will be automatically logged in to your account.

I hope this helps,

David.
