cannot add a new card to my account

im trying to add a mastercard debit to my account and its a new card, i keep getting this message-

"We're sorry, but that card can't be linked to any more PayPal accounts. Please link adifferent card 

can anyone help???

Hi there Rileytoby,

Do you know if the card you are trying to register was ever registered previously on PayPal? There is a security feature on the PayPal website that will disable a credit/debit card once it has been registered to the third different PayPal account in the lifetime of the card.

If your card has been registered to two PayPal accounts previously, you won't be able to use the card on PayPal again i'm afraid. Would you have a different credit/debit card that you could try registering on your account?
