Won't let me add my debit card, think it's registered on disabled account.

Disabled my old account a while ago, just decided to register again on my new email account. When I went to add my debit card on my newley created account it wouldn't work. Did some poking around online and discovered that if a card isn't removed from an account before disabled, the card cannot be added to a new account as a card can only be registered to one account. Are there any known sollutions to this or am I just never going to be able to use PayPal on my current card? I'm aware I can call my card company or PayPal support but I really don't want to bother with anything like that, just looking for a quick and simple solution.

If you closed the previous account then there is no quick or easy solution.

You need to contact customer services and they should be able to help you recover it.

Click on the words "Contact" at the bottom of your paypal account summary page and use the phone option (if there is one in the country you are in) > click on the "call us" option on the left (fees "may" apply so check the cost with your phone tariff first, as you sometimes have to wait a while to connect).

When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".

OR

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
