Trying to add bank account

I'm trying to link my UK bank account to my PayPal account. However, when I try to do so I receive this error message:

"The account you entered would need additional review. Please link a different bank account.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780."

I have now received this message twice in two weeks and there have been no deposits from PayPal. (I don't HAVE another bank account!) I see that other users have suggested to set up a direct debit or some such in order to receive the two deposits, but I can't do that until PayPal accepts my bank account! Which it is not doing.

Furthermore, why do I have to fax these statements to the US, for a UK account? Why even use a fax machine at all (especially internationally!)? Can't I scan them? I don't even know where to find a fax machine, it's completely antiquated technology.

There must be some other way to do this, but the UK customer service line is no help (told me the office is closed and opens at 8am - I called at 8:30am) whatsoever.

Not sure why not accept your bank account you need to ring them again to find that out.

But you can find fax machines in most libraries that you can use for a small fee.

Having the same problem also PayPal won't add my account, seems like they want me to fax the documents..... Completely rubish need the money.... Any1 knows what to do? also if I fax will the matter be sorted out quickly?

i have the same issues, its stupid, why should i have to go out of my way to find a fax machine and the fax to the states, did you guys have any luck sorting this???????????????????
