Problems adding credit card

Hi,

 

I made a paypal accout many years ago but never used it.

 

So there were never any payment details assigned to the account and none were stored at all.

 

Now i have come to use this account and i am getting the following message:

 

That card number is already assigned to another PayPal account. For security purposes, each card may only be assigned to one PayPal account. If you have already opened a PayPal account, please retrieve the relevant information and log in. Otherwise, please use a different card

 

Now i have already emailed paypal over a week ago with no response to this and i cannot find any info on it.

 

Help?

Hi guys,

 

If you are being advised that your card is already active on another PayPal account, it is possible that you had created a different PayPal account some time ago and that card may be active on the account.

 

The only advice that I can give to you both is to try contacting customer services directly. When you contact us, we would be able to try and locate the account that your card is active on. If we can, we will then remove the card from the account so that you can register the card on your current PayPal account without any difficulties.
