Paypal being useless?

Okay, before this turns into a huge rant about customer service:

 

My account is "unverified" this means I can not withdraw money to my bank account or use paypal to pay for things on certain websites.

 

I attempt to verify and I get told my bank details have been used before.

 

I call customer service to explain that, yes, they have been used before, as my name has been changed and no one in customer service was able to help me change it on my account.

 

When I created my account with my correct name, I expected there to be some need for extra verification.

However, after having this issue for a VERY long time now, and being in touch with customer services on many separate occasions via email and phone, there is still, no resolution whatsoever.

 

This troubles me as I run services online such as a video game server, people donate to keep that server running, their donations are all that keeps it running, however, I can not use my paypal to buy any of the goods I need as it is unverified and CAN NOT BE VERIFIED.

 

So, I have to pay for the goods out of my own bank out of money I do not have, this would be fine, if I could withdraw the money from paypal into my bank to make up for the loss, but, I can not.

 

So back to square one, with money sitting in my paypal account that I can not use, can not withdraw, can not do anything with and the last time I was on the phone to customer services, they poor guy had nothing about this in his script and was again, totally unable to do -anything- this is highly unacceptable as I have money sitting in my account that I can do NOTHING with, and given the climate of debt and hardship, I can not afford to have this happening.

Pay pal, fix this.

When you closed your  other account did you remove your bank account from it first??

I don't remember if I did or not, probably not to be honest. There has to be a way to fix this though as money is just sitting there.

In that case you can't have a bank account on x2 accounts even if the other is closed.

 

BUT I am sure I have seen posts on here from moderators (who work for paypal), saying that if you contact customer services you can ask them to remove the bank account from your closed account and then add it to your new one.

 

Maybe the customer services op was not aware of that??

 

I would go down that option first and if not maybe try this.....but no guarantee it will work.

 

Try cancelling the direct debit agreement with paypal with your bank...............that should cancel it on the old account and then try adding it to the new....worth a try anyway.

So I managed to find out my old email address and recover my old account where my bank account was first used, only to find that I'd already removed my bank account from that paypal account, leaving me right back at square one with increasing donations that I can not use, This needs to be resolved as it's getting utterly ridiculous.
