Paypal and Ebay error "username already taken"

Paypal and Ebay error "username already taken", but the confuding thing is, that its MY ebay username! and ive received payments and made payments previously!

I was trying to link the two so I could sort out the postage for an ebay Item I had sold, as it wouldn't verify the address til I had linked my ebay and paypal (which i thought I had already done) and to cure the error I thought I would re-enter the ebay information and submit, but, it removed my ebay info and gave me the old "username already taken" message.

Any help please?!

Hi there Gothic_creature,

Do you know if it's possible that your eBay username could have been registered at some point previously to a different PayPal account? If it was, this could be why you are unable to link the user ID to your current PayPal account.

I can't see your PayPal account so I am unable to be sure what exactly the issue you are having is. The best thing I could advise you to do would be to try contacting customer services directly and we can try to assist you further. 

You can do this by clicking the Contact Us icon at the bottom of any PayPal webpage. From here, you can then click the Call Us or Email Us options in order to get in contact with customer services.
