I have been a verified paypal user for several years. Recently I bought an item from ebay but when I went to pay for it I could not because I was told I was over my limit. Although my paypal account is linked to my bank account I could not pay for the item until I added another card to my account. During the process of adding the new card I had to go through another varification process, but was eventually able to pay for the item. I have now received a message asking me for details about my charitable status and about tax exemption etc.. It say I am registered as a charity. I AM NOT A CHARITY, nor am I a business. I am an individual who just use paypal on the internet. I have tried to amend/update my account but it wont let me. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any ideas of how to solve this problem?

send an e-mail to PayPal stating this. You would have filled out the personal/business information form saying you are receiving payments for charitable or non-profit purposes which would have flagged our system. It can be removed within a day or two if you e-mail in your details.
