Error on visa debit card

Hi,

i am trying to add my Visa Debit card with paypal and it keeps returning the error

That card number is already registered with PayPal. Please enter a different number.

whereas upto my knowledge i had never tried to register it before.

Any help will be appreciated

Hi there MTM,

If you are being advised that the card is already registered on another PayPal acount, you would need to try contacting customer services directly in order for us to assist you further in regards to getting the card removed.

When you contact us by phone, we can initiate a trace on the card for you and let you know what account the card has been registerd to. If possible, we will then remove the card from the account for you so that you can register the card again on your current PayPal account.

To contact customer services, you can click the Contact Us link at the bottom of any PayPal webpage. From here, you can then click the Call Us icon.
