Ebuyer say my paypal shipping address is 'unconfirmed'

Hi everyone,

Yesterday evening I ordered some computer parts from ebuyer which I will be using to build my own computer for my birthday on the 4th feb. I sent the order, payed via paypal and went to bed thinking all was well and my order was done. The next morning I found 3 emails from ebuyer, one telling me I had been refunded the full amount, another one saying "Unfortunately you have selected a PayPal unconfirmed shipping address and, for security reasons, we are currently unable to process your order" And the final one telling me my order has been cancelled. I checked my paypal details and my home address is correct and under 'status' says 'confirmed'. I have to pay via paypal because there is not enough money in my bank account to pay the whole sum, I need to pay with money from my paypal account aswell as my bank. I tried contacting ebuyer but they simply told me "Unfortunately we are unable to process the order via Paypal once they have told us that the shipping address is unconfirmed. You would need to re-place the order using a credit or debit card". I don't know what could be the problem as my shipping address is confirmed.

Hi there Phillip147,

Although it's not a requirement for sellers to post an item to a confirmed shipping address in order to be covered under our Seller Protection Policy, some merchants will only post items to a confirmed address. Ebuyer is one of the merchants that will only post an item to a confirmed address.

You can try to contact the merchant directly if you wish in order to enquire if they will still post the item but it is at their discretion to post the item. You can try to select the address that is linked to the card registered to your account and this should show your address as confirmed when we send the information to your seller.

I hope this helps,

David.
