Last year (for my Tax Return) I managed without a problem to obtain a CSV with ALL my acc. history. This year so far (after several attempts) I've got 6 Apr 2010 to 5 Sep 2010 , and the remainder in dribs and drabs of less than 3/4 week batches each time having to tweak the timeline by 1/2 days. Currently I'm unable to obtain anything from Feb to March 2011....FOUR WEEKS!!! Wonderful modern technology! Better off with a quill and ledger book.WHY ISN'T THE INFO DOWNLOADABLE?

Hi there Taxing.
Can I ask what web browser you are using when trying to download the information on your PayPal account? If you try using Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox if possible and this could help you. If you could also try clearing your temporary internet files also and this should also help with the issue that you are having.

Thanks for your reply. I'm afraid your suggestions are n/a. I'm on IE and clear my temporary Internet files regularly once a day (sometimes more).
The latest download request was for THREE days of history. This was PayPals response:
Sorry, we were unable to process your request to download the following log:1 Mar 2011 through 4 Mar 2011.The failure may have been caused by an unexpected system error or unusually high demand on our servers. Please try your download again. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I've lost count of the number of these I've had. What I don't understand is I've been able to download April 2010 right up until September 2010 but from then on has been only available in blocks of a month or so, a few weeks and finally NOT being available for a few days!!
I was once told recently by a PayPal rep. that records were not available going back more than six months. I've been palmed off with various other excuses including a few of these;
Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding being unable to download your
transaction history. Firstly allow me to apologies for any inconvenience
caused.
I have forwarded your account information to our technical department
for further review. We have experienced a lot of issues with the
download history log.
This has again today been raised to my supervisor to chase this up for
you and hopefully resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Again I apologies for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

The last one dated 26th Jan but still no explanation/fix.
Eventually the last batch of figures was actually sent by a PayPal rep . so they ARE available to the select few.
Had this not been sent I would have been unable to complete my Tax Return. I mentioned this to PayPal and asked them to issue a statement to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise to back me up for late completion. However, they wouldn't.
I suppose the next port of call is the Financial Services Authority
Any further suggestions welcome on the back of a £50 note.
