Changing bank details

I have changed banks and Paypal is the only firm that is not letting me change bank accounts because it says I have a pending transaction why is the system so hard to sort out I have added the card form my new bank and that can be used for transactions. Paypal are sending me emails wanting me to authorize the account I had but all I want to do is change to my new one. I am starting to get angry with these emails now and also with customer service who I have phoned and they have been of no help.

HELP PLEASE!!
