I am trying to remove an old card which is in my maiden name and registered to an old address as I want all traces of that address gone as I've just been informed that two items have been sent to it and returned to sender. I have my new address on here as primary as obviously my new card is registered to it and works ok on here. It says I can't remove it while a transaction is pending but everything is complete. I also can't contact paypal as when I click on that it won't let me write in the search box and it seems until you do that it won't give you a phone number so I am left with writing on here! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I encountered a similar problem this morning - couldn't remove an old card because the screen instructions informed me that there were pending payments, when there were none. So I called PayPal on the Contact Us number - make sure you've made a note of the Web Pin number on screen or keep it there in front of you. The process was fairly painless - once I got to speak to a PayPal representative, he was able to remove the card for me. I don't know why we haven't been able to do this ourselves, but at least it's done now. Good luck!
I can't find a number though as when I click contact us it wants me to type in key words so it can find me help but it won't let me type anything in! There's no phone number on there at all?!!
No, I don't get that. The page I get has 1 Tell us about your problem with a box underneath which can't be written in! The number 2 says solutions under that which isn't highlighted anyway until you fill in the box which can't be filled in!! This is getting ridiculous.
There is a technical issue when some customers are trying to remove old cards from their account that they are being advised that the card can't be removed as there is a payment pending. This is a known technical issue that is being investigated by our technical team.
