Can't add a US Credit Card, I live in Venezuela.

Hi, I am not a newbie in the world of PayPal, I have shopped on Ebay using PayPal before, with a credit card from Venezuela. The problem is because of our goverment, I am no longer have access to dollars from my Venezuelan credit card. So, I am currently using a US Visa Debit Card from CommerceBank to buy in Amazon (who doesn't care where do you live), and I wanted to buy an item from a shop who only has a PayPal payment option. The issue is I am triying to add my US credit card to my PayPal account, but they rejects it because are unable to verify the address of the card, despise being a American one and made transaction with a lot of online stores using the same physical address.

My friends have told me PayPal tracks my IP address so they know in what country I am logging it, and they have the policy to not accept card from a country different from the one where is accessing. Basically, because I live in Venezuela, I can't use a US credit card. Does PayPal has this policy? How can I add funds to my account considering my US credit card is the only option to access to dollar currency?

Please give me some help. Thanks

Hi there Davidlamli85,

Firstly, welcome to the community.

Secondly, I'm afraid your friends are correct. You can only add a card in the country in has been registered. So a US card can only be added to a US PayPal account. There is no way around this and it can't be changed I'm sorry to say.
