Can I close my existing account and open another with the same email address and personal details?

When I opened my account some years ago I had to use my husband's name but all the personal details and email address are mine. Can I close this original account and open another using my own name with the same email and personal details?

You 'should' be able to do so but no one here can guarantee it for you.

BUT if you do then leave a while between closing and then opening the second to allow the system to play catch up.
