Adding and verifying bank account

I recently changed banks and I'm having real problems in adding it to my PayPal account.

 

I add the information and the screen then it tells me the device isn't recognised so I'm going to get an automated message. That's fine other than when I try to select which phone number I want the message to go to I can only select one of the three numbers I have listed.

 

I can't, for example, select my primary phone number or my work telephone number (which is a direct line).

 

Why is this so difficult?

 

There doesn't appear to be much help in 'help' so I hope the kind people of the forum can.
