I've been using PP for years, but recently set up an Etsy shop for my jewelry making biz. Sales have started to come in, but PP is saying I'm not a "registered recipient." In checking my profile info, it looks like it wants my taypayer ID #, but PP seems only set up for SSN or something they're calling the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. (First number must be "9" which, for my biz tax#, isn't right.
Is it all right to just put in my SSN - which is another choice - instead? I have a tax ID set up for my (very tiny) biz, but though I've had it for a few years now, I really haven't done much with the biz or had many sales.
So far, I've had two sales from Etsy that cannot complete I believe because of this (Etsy msg to me is "payment is pending"' Etsy msg to buyer is that I am "not a registered recipient." I've been using PP and getting payments since 2001...
Help! One sale needs to ship ASAP (last minute birthday gift)!
