receiving money / making 'split' payments

Hello,

I've only used paypal a couple times.

When receiving payments, such as eBay winnings, is that money deposited into a 'paypal' account or directly into your linked bank account?

If it does not directly deposit into your bank account; when making a payment will paypal use what's in the account, then if short, draw from the bank account?

Reason being, I want something off eBay, but I need to sell my item first then turn around and buy what I want. However the item I want sells for $250, but my winnings will be around 210-215, making me $35 short....

edit: found out myself >.<;

answer to question 1, deposits will be made into your paypal account, it is up to you when and how money will be transferred to your linked bank account.   question 2, yes payments will be made from whatever funds are in your paypal account and then draw the remaining balance from your linked bank account/ credit card, etc.

When you sale, it goes to your paypal balance, the only way to get money to your bank is "Withdraw From PayPal account into your bank account"

When you sale a item, yes you can use that money to buy a item, if you come up short, yes it will bring it from your checking
