When you transfer funds from your PayPal Account to your bank account, you should receive a "completed" message in your Account Transaction History. The "completed" message means that PayPal has completed their end of the deal by transferring the funds to your bank. The next step is up to your bank as to how long it takes for it to show up in your account. Normally the time frame for US Banks is 3 to 4 "business days". Note some US Banks can take longer and "business days" do not include weekends or holidays. As for other countries, Canadian banks can take up to eight business days. UK banks can take up to nine working days and Australian banks can take seven to eight working days.

I purchased an item on Ebay from a powerseller...requesting immediate payment. An hour later I received a call
from the vendor saying that his inventory was off and didn't have product. So I said just refund the money.
But withing that hour or so he received my payment in his account because he sent a tracking number for the shipment and Paypal said he did because he requested immediate payment. This morning that money was gone from my account and paypay is telling me that I know have to wait 3-5 working days for me to have that money available to me.
Why could he getthe money instantly and why can't I get the money at least back in my paypal account instantly???
Thanks
Rick

It would be nice it everything worked that way but, in reality it does not. We have a separate Merchant Account, totally unrelated to PayPal. When we accept a credit card sale, we have the funds the next day however, when we do a refund, it takes several business days for the customer to see the credit. It's not just PayPal as folks would like to think, it's the way the banking/credit card industry functions in general.
