I recently received an email from Paypal saying that I had made a payment. I logged into Paypal and instanly cancelled the payment as I did not make the payment and did not know the email address it was to be paid to. Paypal still requested the funds from my bank account and as the funds were not there, the payment was reversed and I have been charged by my bank because I went overdrawn. Clicking on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page takes you to a page that does not allow you to type anything in the box provided and the phone number is unobtainable. How do I close my account without giving my bank or credit card details again. I do not want to give these details to a company that I don't trust and can not contact with a problem. Apart from cancelling my direct debit with Paypal and telling my credit card company that Paypal is untrustworthy and not to make any payments to them, what else can I do?
