Scam??

I put an add on gumtree for my buggy and i recieved a message from a woman in canada wanting it. Is tvis a scam? My name is Maria Heussen from US.I am really interested in the immediate purchase of the Merchandise and i will like to know how long you have owned it?? can i also get more details about the Merchandise? like the weight and can you please tell me the last price of this item. i will like to know the price you are willing to sell it and i want you to understand that i am willing and ready to purchase it right away and Please note that i will be buying it to US and due to the nature of my work as a physician and i will not be able to make calls or come to view the stroller or come for the pick up in person but i have a reliable shipping company (EMS) who handles the shipping arrangement and i will make all transportation preparations for the it to be moved to my house in Canada. The shipper will be coming for the pickup after you received payment, which would be made through PayPal. Once i receive the details i will go ahead with the payment through PayPal and then i will contact the shipping company after you get the payment. I will need your home address for the stroller to be Picked Up by the Shipping Company..

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

If the item requires shipping they will tell you that they will pay you extra and you must pay the agent via western union / moneygram BEFORE the funds are released to you.

They are not interested in the item, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

She hasnt said anything bout me having to pay shippig etc, said she will do it all. I havent had any emails as havent gone through with it. I asked her for proof and she sent me her passport im sure it is anyway. Says she is deutsch.

Yes she will "do" it all, by arranging shipping and telling you that you have to pay the shipping agent for her via western union on the pretence she has sent you a higher paypal payment confirmed by a spoof email that would cover that cost.

Feel free to not believe me if you want to but ask yourself why would someone who is a physician with plenty of money want to buy a buggy from an international seller?? Do they not have buggies in the US?

Continue if you want, i can only warn you.
