I have never given my paypal details to anyone.
I hadn't logged into paypal for a while but when I did I noticed there was a bank account that had been confirmed, so i didnt think anything of it. Recently i bought something from a website using the bank account and just today (Thursday 24th August) noticed that there had been money taken out of my personal debit account. The date of the three transactions were all on the same day (23/08/17). The first transaction was -£22.97, the second was -£91.93 and the third was +£91.93. The significance of the second and third transaction is that it is the exact same total as to what i spent when I bought something of the website which i paid for on the 20th August. All three transactions have a description of "DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT TO PAYPAL PAYMENT REF *AA*******AAA, MANDATE NO ****" where the reference number and mandate number are the all three transactions.
I have changed my paypal password, setup security questions and 2 factor authentification. I have also asked all family members and my girlfriends family to see if the card number matches with any of their cards and it is still unknown to whos the card is.
Wondering if theres anything to do to track where the transactions are going to and if theres any way to find out whos the card is???
