I received an email the other day: "Hi Bronwyn, We require a payment from you that needs to be paid via PayPal. Please use the link below to complete this payment in a timely manner. http://paypal.co.uk-uk-webscr.blink-fm.co.uk/?validPP=568257-116863 Your security is our utmost concern, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thanks, John" And then "Notice to [my email which I have withdrawn] Your account wiIl be Iimited because we've noticed significant changes ln your account activity. As your payment processor, we need to understand these changes better. This account limitation wiIl affect your ability to: Send or receive money Withdraw money Also, you won't be able to: Remove any accounts Remove credit cards CIose your account" Are these definitely spam? I haven't clicked on them because my mum was tricked a couple of years back and had to cancel her credit card.

Paypal does not address you by your first name, they would use your first and last name.

 

Paypal would never expect you to enter sensitive account info via a link in an email.

 

They would tell you to log in normally and go to the resolution centre to resolve any issues.
