Help!! Email says I have added another email address to my account

i have received this morning an email [to my email address] saying that i have added another email address to my paypal account, and to take a minute to confirm this email address is mine..

the email was sent to my email address but the name it is addressed to "Dear XX" is not mine and i have never heard of the name or the email address that is to be added to my account..

Please help!!!

Could well be a spoof ...don't click on the link or you could give a scammer your log in info.

 

Go and log in normally to your paypal account and see if there is another email addy added.

have checked account and the email address isnt there...should i change my password??!!

Did you click on the link on the email???

 

If you did then yes change your password and security questions.

i did click on the link that said if i did not add this email, let us know straight away

Then you probably gave you log in info away to a spoof site.

 

Change your password and security questions.

 

Check your bank account and check no one has set up a direct debit on it.

I just changed my details.The email received to confirm this are identical to the one received this morning saying that i had added a new email address..

does paypal have an email address i could forward the email to that I received to check it out for me??
