When your paid it is credited to your paypal account balance.
If its showing in your paypal activity but not in that balance then you may have 'spent it', so go and 'click' on any recent buying transactions and see if they were funded from that buyers payment / balance.

Is there any way I can stop it doing that, do you know? That money was supposed to go into a different account and ended up going towards a tankful of petrol out of a joint account... 😞
