E-mails not opening

Since Wednesdy whenever I receive an e-mail from Paypal it won't open & Outlook Express says it isn't responding & I have to close it down. Also it has changed the way I view my e-mails, I have to keep re-setting the reading pane at the bottom. It is very frustrating. All other e-mails are fine. anyone else got this problem

Is it just me? Last couple of days the emails from PayPal have been very slow. I don;t mean them sending them I mean when they hit my Outlook account, they are taking 30 seconds to come through.
Even when they are already in my Outlook, if I click another email - quick change, click back on the PayPal email and it takes 30 seconds to refresh
Any ideas?

Yes, I've noticed this as well!
Using Outlook 2010, all emails from Wednesday morning (12/10/2011) have been hanging my Outlook and causing the "contacting server for information" popup to appear for 30-60 seconds.
It also says "Contacting: \\102.112.2o7.net\b\ss\paypalglobal\1\G.4--NS"

Well I suppose it is good to know it is not just me. I had just enabled the new custom pages for checkout so thought it could be that, but I have disabled it again so no.
Hopefully it is a problem on their servers they are aware of and will sort out soon

Did you resolve the issue. My Paypal e-mails won't open atall & cause Outlook Express to throw a wobbler & refuse to work. It also seems to have affected the reading pane on Outlook express, I have to keep re-setting it

Same problem here. It seems the server hosting the html content that Outlook is attempting to open is responding extremely slowly. Unfortunately Outlook 2010 has no ability to sense this and simply locks up.
