Difficulty closing my account

I want to close my account.  Went to Settings and Close My Account but the message on screen said 'Before you close your account -please try again'.  Went through the same procedure with the same result.  I do want to close the account and there is nothing else I can try.

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

Before you close your account, please be sure there’s no money in your PayPal balance and that your financial details have been removed. If there is a balance, withdraw the money to your bank account. Once your balance is zero, remove your bank and card details. You may not close your PayPal account if:

 

    There are outstanding payments

    There are outstanding disputes, claims or chargebacks

    There is a limitation on your account

    Your account balance is below zero
