123-reg taken money without authorisation through Paypal

Ive just logged in to my paypal as I am waiting a refund and seen that 123-reg have taken £53 from me without my consent. I set up a domain name for an ex friend a few years ago and then transfered everything to him. I have no idea even if his business is running as we have not spken for over 2 years. 

How can 123-reg take money from me when I have not authorised this? also they tried to take money initially from the card that used to be registered to the account whoch failed. HOW CAN THEY TAKE MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT WHEN THAT HAS BEEN CHANGED TOO? Surelty this is Fraud? from viewing other posts I have now been able to deactivate all auto renewal payments through paypal. This is something I didn;t even know existed but how do I get my money back as I should not be charged for something that is not related to me anymore. 

i am absolutely fuming and inbetween jobs so £53 is a lot of money to take from me without my authorisation

If you took out the subscription and selected paypal to fund it then its going to come out of your account.

When you past the domain on you should have let the company know so that they could cancel or change it over AND cancel your pre-approved subscriptions.

You will need to contact the company that took it to get a refund. Paypal can't do anything as you had pre-approved the ongoing subscription and it was still valid.
