how do i find the balance on a gift card? I've been trying to do this for 4-5 years..why is it so hidden

        I've had the same problem, and wasted so much time reading through countless PayPal forum posts here, that are inaccurate and outdated.  They say to go to "Wallet" and check for Gift Card Balance, but its not there. Another one says to switch to classic view, but there is no longer a link to Classic view, on the new PayPal page.  Even the eBay gift card does not have the correct URL on it, to find the gift card balance.  

Finally, I found the solution, and that is to go to https://www.ebay.com/gft/balance or https://giftcardbalance.ebay.com and you will find the location right there, to enter your gift card number and check your balance. This only works on eBay Gift Cards, not Visa debit cards or other gift cards.
