When I pay for things within Purchase history, PayPal is linked and works smoothly. However, I cannot link PayPal to my Ebay account. This prevents me from bidding on a lot of items I want.
I have called Ebay 4 times and PayPal twice so far without any tangible changes from Ebay. The PayPal support has be super and they have made sure my account is verified and doesn't have any issues. They also opened up some security restrictions on my account to see if that would fix this issue but, so far it has made no difference.
When I go to the "account settings" in Ebay, "paypal account", "link to paypal", I go to a Paypal linked login page. When I enter my credentials it says I am verified and then redirects me back to the original PayPal login screen. There is no return to Ebay link on the page which I have been asked about repeatedly. Also, this action logs me into PayPal evertime. I tried this with the same results using my cellphone and desktop computer, multiple browsers, and clearing caches as I go.
The Ebay rep said a lot of people are having the same issue I have. However, this doesn't seem to increase their urgency to fix the issue. 3 different sellers are loosing money because I can't bid so the only other bidder pays their open bid ask price. Unfortunately, only one the sellers will accept messages so only one of them realizes they have lost money due to this error induced by their seller restrictions.
