Different email address on Ebay versus PayPal causing non transfer of payment

Im a first time seller on Ebay and I sold an item on Ebay using auction and Buyer can't send me money because according to Ebay, "payment receipt method isn't set up".

After being on the phone most of the morning with both Ebay and PalPal it turns out that the email address that I use with Ebay is different than the email address I use with PalPal which causes the problem.  Not sure exactly why it causes such a problem but it does.  Furthermore, someone else on PalPal is using the email address I use on Ebay.  Ebay says they can't switch to email address I use on PayPal since item has sold and it's, "frozen".

PayPal will contact person who has my email address but it will take a couple weeks at least and they may not even respond.

Any suggestion how I can complete this transaction?  As mentioned I'm a first time seller and given the compleixity of this transaciton it will likely be the last.

You can't wait on no two weeks for this PayPal user to reply about having same email address as you.

Add and confirm new email address to your PayPal account that is NOT the same one as another user on PayPal.  Make the new email address on PayPal the primary one if you like. Add the new PP email address to your eBay account and be sure to use this new PayPal email address in future eBay listings via Sell Your Item form to receive payments under. Log on to your PayPal account with new PP email address, find the buyer's email address on eBay, send buyer a PayPal invoice. Include eBay listing ID/Item Description and shipping cost on invoice.

This is only a beginner's hiccup. After this is fixed, it should be right as rain and the payments will go to the correct PayPal email address.

When the buyer pays, mark the payment as received on eBay.
