My husband purchased 3 items from E-bay - paying for them using Pay Pal which is linked to our Bank of America Card. All sellers are located in the US, but for some reason Pay Pal stated we were being charged the Brazilian Rate. He continued to process the orders. The amount that hit our Bank of America account was more than the seller's e-mail.
After contacting the PAY PAL CUSTOMER SERVICE Go to https://www.paypal.com/help and click "Call Us", they acknowledge that there is a problem with Pay Pal converting Bank of America payments from USD to Brazilian Rate.
They informed me that they are working on the problem and credited my Pay Pal account the amount that I was overcharged.
