and they asked me to cancel the sale and not send the item. PayPal shows that they did pay and their address is confirmed. However, the item is my gift card code and so I'm only emailing it. I don't want an unhappy customer if she is legit. Has anyone had this problem? How can an unregistered name even bid on eBay? What would you do; send or not send and cancel? I know it will sell again, but I want to be fair. Thanks for any input.
I think your buyer has a paypal account only and not an eBay account, since paypal is owned by eBay, they can easly make the correlation. Anyway, this buyer probably saw your auction on eBay and decided to buy your item, but she sent you the payment directly through paypal and did not actually make any bids. I believe this is against eBay's policies since they lose out on the auction ending fees etc. Just my 2 cents...
