Problems with Redemption Code on Ebay Gift Card

Hi I bought an Ebay gift card and put $65.00 dollars on it and when I brought it home to use it the redemption code would not work. So I called Ebay wherein they told me to contact the store I bought it from. I did and because it was an redemption code issue on ebay they claim I have to deal with them on the issue. I refuse to see that much money thrown to the wind. I am at a loss on how to get my card to work or get a refund. Any help regarding this issue would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Heather
