Hi every one,

My name is Nick and I am from Cyprus.

I wish start selling on ebay and Amazon and I am try to figure out with Paypal fees. As I have all ready read PayPal fees are divided into domestic and cross border transactions. Regarding the cross border transactions, Paypal fees are not a fixed value, depending on the country of buyer and currency.

How can I calculate the Paypal fee in order to added at the final price of my product?

Should I change my account into business?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

You can set to receive your payments in your local currency so you don't have to deal with fluctuating currency value.  If it is cross border, use this to determine that rate:

https://www.paypal.com/cy/cgi-bin/webscr?dispatch=5885d80a13c0db1f8e263663d3faee8d64813b57e559a25784...

Or or do a google search for a PayPal Fee Calculator.

Best to upgrade to a business account or a premier account if you are a casual seller.

Thank you for your reply!!

As I mention I am from Cyprus and the Transaction Fees for Cross-Border Payments are not fixed. I mean that if I receive a paument from Cyprus the fee is 3.4% + €0.35 EUR, from Canada 4.4% + €0.35 EUR, from Albania 4.7% + €0.35 EUR, from Costa Rica 5.2% + €0.35 EUR.

You believe its better to take the average value of these fees in order to calculate the final cost of my product that I will insert at Ebay?

If you sell on Amazon marketplace, you will be using Amzon one click (no PAYPAL) and it is 15% (commission and credit card fee) plus one dollar transaction fee if you do not have a promerchant account.
