an ebay seller messaged me asking for my paypal info to verify my paypal account. what info do they need?

Hi nsk108236, and welcome to the forum!
A seller should not need anything other than your email address, which will allow them to recognize the incoming payment. Outside of looking for the payment in their transaction history after you've sent it, I'm not sure what "verification" the seller would be performing.
If they are asking for any other personally identifiable information like SSN, credit card or bank account numbers, your passwords, etc, do not provide the requested information.
