Can you pay with checking if you dont have enough in paypal balance?

Title says it all. I want to buy something for 185 but I have only 156 in the paypal balance. Will it go negative and charge or how does it work?

Hi elksama

If you purchase an item for more than the amount you have in your paypal account, the remainder will be taken from your back up funds you have linked to paypal.

The only charge you will have is if you do not have enough back up funds to cover it and probably from your bank too
