21 day wait

As a first time seller on ebay I think it will be my last as I wasn't aware until after I'd  sold the item that there was a 21 day wait for payment. Why on earth should I have to 'prove' myself if the seller has paid and received the item? Isn't that enough proof? I have been asked to mark the item as dispatched. Easier said than done. PayPal need to get their site in working order. I have an uneasy feeling that I won't be seeing my £39 odd anytime soon. Never again.

If you read up a bit more carefully you would see once your tracking number showed the item as delivered to the buyer + 3 days the funds are released and you don't have to wait the full 21 days.

Its only sellers that don't send trackable that have to wait the full 21 days as there is no way to know if the buyer has got the item or not. Feedback does not count as it can be left for the wrong seller by mistake.

Every one of us selling on ebay has been through the new seller hold and as its for buyer protection most don't mind.

In my case it was the buyer who arranged the courier. What do eBay do in this case ?

Oh dear, in that case you may well have to wait 21 days.

BUT if you can't provide a tracking number that proves delivery of the item to the buyer then you would lose any paypal dispute for non receipt of item.

Never let a buyer arrange a courier as you lose your seller protection.
