Your account access is limited: My PayPal Nightmare

Does anyone else out there ever feel like...Paypal is their single biggest obstacle? In both life and business? And is the only thing/entity holding you down and keeping you from reaching your goals? I truly feel this way. I battled PayPal for a month, trying to get my account restored after it was limited when a scammer made a "item not as described" claim. After sending in over 20 documents to prove my identity over a months time (each day PayPal would ask for more information i.e. another document, which I would supply. After being reviewed and accepted, they would ask for another, and another, and so on and so on.) It felt as if they were looking for an excuse, any excuse to keep my account limited. However I was able to prevail, and eventually after keeping my account limited for an entire month, PayPal restored my account to normal. Yay. But apparently PayPal was just taking a break, because now...they are back at it again. Less than 2 weeks after being restored, my account has been limited AGAIN, for THE SAME REASON (we couldn't confirm your identity) , and PayPal is asking me for THE SAME INFORMATION they already requested, reviewed, and approved. I'm not joking. For reals. As if my photo ID, my social security number, Date of birth, phone number in my name, bank accounts in my name, debit cards in my name, a list of my suppliers, 4-5 different utility bills in my name and address, a picture of my utility bill being held up against my street sign and the address on my house...as if all of that was not enough, Paypal now also needs a actual picture of my social security card...Oh, and they need my utility bill...AGAIN. okay, fine Paypal...I gave that to them. And guess what. Account... still limited. My account has been limited for so long now, that it is destroying my business. We are completely unable to ship out our orders and have been for quite some time because PayPal controls all of our funds, which includes our PayPal Debit Business card, so we cannot pay for shipping. So now we are starting to have a few "items not received" cases come in since PayPal will not let us use our own money to buy shipping. Even better...Paypal also will not allow you to refund orders when your account is limited. By not letting us purchase shipping along with not allowing us to refund orders...PayPal is LITERALLY 100% GUARANTEEING **bleep** off customers which in turn GUARANTEES open cases against us... Think about that for a second. Not only is PayPal setting us up to fail...they are guaranteeing it. Luckily for us, on out website we also accept credit card payments with Square...which is literally the only reason we have been able to keep shipping out our orders. We just started using Square, and wow... they have been truly absolutely amazing, no joke. They deposit our sales directly into our bank account EVERY SINGLE DAY! And they never hold our money from us...they have been a dream. Back to our nightmare...I just...I dont know anymore. I don't know what to do. I don't hate PayPal, and never have. I just don't understand how this can be happening, again. People of PayPal... HOW can you let this happen? Why are you doing this to me? This is my business, my job, my work. This is how my family eats, how my daughter gets the medicine she needs. And it's obvious I am who I say I am, I have met every demand you have made. And now you want to confirm my address again? You mean the address you sent my PayPal Debit card to? That I activated? This doesn't even make sense. It's like I'm caught in this PayPal loop of madness, and no one at PayPal cares or has power to do anything about it. And my nightmare continues. PayPal, someone, anyone...please, wake me up. Help.

You would think, right? But PayPal warns us plain as day that they will do nothing at all for us if we call in with this problem... "Please note that for most limitations our customer service specialists can't remove your limitation over the phone. Please wait for us to contact you."

That was really, really helpful whac-a-mole... I'm sure this is all just a big joke to you, but if you were to have ever ran your own online business, you would be able to feel my pain, and be able to grasp how big of an issue not being able to access your funds is. Along with not being able to purchase shipping, we also cannot pay Google/Microsoft/Facebook for advertising, which means traffic is no longer being driven to our site. We can't purchase new domain names and hosting...we can do nothing. And it just so happens to be the most IMPORTANT/BUSIEST TIME OF THE ENTIRE YEAR. We are missing out on thousands of dollars of sales every day our account remains limited. And the most frustrating part about it, is we already submitted all of this info and it was all already confirmed.

I think that whac-a-mole does run an online business (and is very experienced on here) and that is why they suggested Square to you.

Not sure why you thought that was a joke??

This is not paypal customer services, we can give advice only and can do little if your account is limited apart from telling you to reach out to customer servces again.

His problem is Paypal has restricted his account and he cant access his fund to run a business,he needs the money to advertise,to buy postage etc.

There seems to be serious problem with his account,PAYal is asking for supporting documents over and over again ,like his address and SS,he has to take a picture in front of his house with him holding some papers and PAYPAL wants a copy of his SS card.

If it is a large sum of money, you may want to contact your local congressman or senator or consult a lawyer.

Is there any reason why they doubt your SS or your home address?

what do you sell?
