I closed my account today and created a new one because I had wrong name on the old one. Now that I have a new one, I wanted to use security key on this account and I wanted to use my phone number from closed account, but I can't. It says that:This number was used to get an existing security key. You’ll need to use a newnumber. But I closed that account, shouldn't I be able to use this number again ?
that's weird becuase I didn't change my e-mail in the old account but I could use it to create this account. Shouldn't all information except bank and credit card be reusable after closing an account ??
You'll need to phone PayPal customer service for specific acocunt issues. Click on the "contact" link at the bottom of the page and then phne options at the top.
