How long will it take for someone to transfer money from their bank to my paypal?

If someone is sending me money to my paypal through their bank, how long will this take? Also are there limitations? And will paypal ask me to confirm the transaction? How long will it take to get the email?

Normally as soon as someone pays you paypal CREDIT the funds to your paypal balance but that is only if the sender is funding that payment via a card OR bank account / with a back up card linked to their paypal account.

If they are only funding it with a bank account and no back up card then you may have to take the wait for it to clear (3-5 days approx).

However whether its put on hold / pending when it arrives at your account is dependent on 'how' the payment is sent (which option is used), what its for eg if you are selling then you may get the new seller hold etc.
