I went through a legal name change, then followed the Paypal proccess for changing it:
I've waited 3 months, emailed in all of the proper legal documents, spent over 8 hours on the phone with Paypal.
Was reasured every step of the way, that as long as I have supporting documents it should be fine.
Finally 4 months later, this is my reply from Paypal:
" Thank you for contacting PayPal.
When opening a PayPal account, it is required that the name you register as the contact name matches the name that is listed on your identification card. We don't allow our users to change the ownership of their PayPal account. When a name change is completed due to marriage, divorce or legal name change, there is no change in the actual owner of the PayPal account.
You may want to consider opening a new account under your true name and contact information. "

I can't seem to make out what their response means...
