trouble confirming credit/debit card?

Ok I have just about lost it. For some reason my account got a limitation hold. It asked me to link and confirm bank, credit card, and verify my identity. Well it was a piece of cake to confirm my bank and identity but confirming my cards just doesnt seem to be working. My cards are in good standing and I have recently used both (one of them this morning) and the bank told me there was no reason why paypal shouldnt be able to accept them. Keep getting an error message when I go try to start the process of confirming them. An error message tells me that the authorization/verification system isnt working and to try agan later. Its been two days and NOTHING. Anyone know what the heck is going on? Doesnt seem fair I cant access my account when its an error on Paypals end, not mine.  So far, not impressed Paypal....

I'm aware this post has been 2 years ago, but I am experiencing the same problem. Paypa's support team can't seem to be of help either. Please I need to get this issue resolved!

trying following these steps: https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-confirm-my-credit-or-debit-card-faq1565

this will send a charge of 1.95 to the card

you the card holder must look at that charge online and read the description

it will look like PP*1234CODe

PayPal just needs to know the 4 numbers in that code to confirm it

Thanks for that, I already know this but the problem is whenever I click the button to confirm my card I get this:

"The Card Verification System used by PayPal is currently unavailable. Please try to add your card at a later time. We apologize for this inconvenience."

This has been going on since the first time I tried confirming my card, been trying to confirm it at different times and it has been almost a week and nothing has changed. I hope Paypal resolves this issue the soonest. I'm very disappointed.
