Paypal has NOT met my expectations, as ever since I've started to use it with my Debit card, it cannot purchase ANYTHING online anymore. I get an error through the companies that I can no longer use this card. So, in an attempt to fix it, I would like to delete my Paypal account, but again, I CANNOT even do that. I get an error message saying it's "Being reviewed" I would like to be able to close this, but it WON'T LET ME.
There's no way to delete an account, only close it. You cannot close the account if there is any outstanding issues. If you have no outstanding issues, suggest contacting customer support for assistance as they have the capability to view account information.
We closed an old account in stages, we first removed any linked accounts (bank and credit card). Waited a few days, then went back and removed some other info and then closed it. Seemed to go smoothly.
