The "buyer" responded by text to my ad on Kijiji. Not local in my area because of the (647) area code for Toronto
Interested in buying my cellphone, and overpaying to include shiping / mailing. As the discussion went on they said they were buying it as a birthday present for a daughter who was starting schooling in the USA (New Jersey) . Each time I questioned the logic of mailing a present there was an excuse and they kept on insisting on using my PayPal email address but also I stalled with excuses. Every time I attempted to get a cash transaction or an in -person meeting, they had another excuse. Eventualy after a few days of non communication the texting stopped, so much for the important "birthday present"!!
There is a lot of information out there if you search. The guidelines of "if it seems too good to be true, then it is probably is not true"
Be careful, very careful.
