HERE IT IS...i just had an auction end on ebay....i CLEARLY MARKED MENTIONED IN HIGHLIGHT LETTERS, that i was not sure if this particular item was genuine....it is a watch....i provided pictures about 10 of them...i mentioned it that i wasnt sure of its authenticity...Now after the auction has ended because this buyer elected to use the buy it now option and paid for the item via paypal, he is now asking....Can you send me picks of the back of the watch?....can you tell me if its authentic?
I am fearful that this"person" i use the term loosely will start some kind of problem .....what do i do?....do i ship out.....WHAT DO I DO..?

i did not know that...thanks..Update...the client asked for more pictures and decided it was ok...so i simply shipped it out today...As mentioned...I put it in bold letters that i was not sure of its authenticiy or that it was genuine....so the buyer was completely aware of this...No scamming attempt on my part whatsoever..I would never do such a thing...Nor has anyone said that...But you think that the buyer would ask these question ahead of time...as far as I am concerned i did my DUE DILIGENCE IN MAKING IT PERFECTLY CLEAR THAT I WAS UNSURE ON IT BEING GENUINE.
thanks for the response...appreciate it..

Hi 2005samp
Tell him the truth which you put on the listing, there is no point in shipping it as they could open a case against you.
If they decide not to go through with the sale send a request to cancel the transaction that way you will get any fees back.
You could then relist if they agree and you wont have lost out on any money but on your listing I would start by saying in capital red letters about authenticity BUT I dont know if you know Ebay doesnt allow copies or items not of genuine authenticity, below is info from Ebay
Here's some information that might help
Examples include:
- Items that bear the rights owner's trademark (such as a logo on a designer purse), but may not be authentic products
- Unauthorised recordings or copies of audio, video, or other media
